October 29, 1954 – May 9, 2019

Gloria Jean Durham, best known as Granny, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on the evening of May 9, 2019 at the age of 64.

Gloria was a strong, hard-working woman who spent her life caring and providing for her family. She was a dedicated and loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her best days were spent gardening, cooking, and sitting in her chair watching her shows.  All who knew Granny knew she would be the first one to tell you to get up and get going because you were burning daylight, but also knew that the Lord blessed her with a heart of hospitality and she would be there for you in a heartbeat.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Gene Durham. She is survived by her siblings Fannie Barnett, Brenda Stewart, Fred Stewart, Boyd Stewart, and Troy Stewart. Her daughter and son-in-law Billie Jean and K. C. Allen, her son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Tina Durham, grandchildren Kayla and Zach Dean, Harley Bishop, Kourtney and Jason Keller, Kayleigh Durham, and Madison Durham; three great-grandchildren Avery and Bella Keller, and Kayson Fucci.

Services will be held at Alabama Funeral Homes and Cremation Centers located at 21927 US HWY 280 Camp Hill, Alabama on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mitchell Dean officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Tallapoosa Memory Gardens.
